The Palace On Wheels train tour is renowned for it's hospitality & personalised service.
On reaching Safderjung Railway Station,in Delhi-you have report at Check-in counter of Palace On Wheels train & handed over pre-prepared boarding pass.
This is followed by traditional welcome & you are personally escorted to your sleeping chambers.
There are two experienced butlers,stationed in each Saloon of 4 Sleeper cabins, who besides cooking you breakfast, also look after house-keeping & tea-coffee service. They are the only people authorized to enter your Cabin & bear sole responsibility of your on-board personal belongings. You can co-ordinate the Dining Car meal sittings through them.
The Bar Lounge is serviced by two stewards under able guidance of a Bar tender & Senior Supervisor.
There are two Dining Car Saloons & each is serviced by two steward & senior supervisor.
The onboard Kitchen is supervised by The Chef & his team of 4 cooks.
For purposes of local excursions & sightseeing, the Palace On Wheels on Wheels tourists are divided into groups of 25-30 persons & board Air-Conditioned Buses with specific colour code. An exclusive Tour Manager is allocated to that Group & he is also available onboard the train. However, the Bus Drivers & Guides will be different in each tourist town'
Also available is a Senior Train Tour Manager, to supervise day to day logistics & handle any emergency situation etc.
The Log Book & Gratuity/Tip Box is available with the Bar Captain.
The onboard services & tour excursions are handled by Staff of Govt of Rajasthan- Tourism Division But the Indian Railways ,provides the hardware, railway engine & technical staff for operating the train.
