Maharajas Express Trains Cabins
On the Maharajas Express Train Journey, you will sleep on board. So, naturally your cabins have been crafted to provide you with the utmost comfort that you can experience on a train, coupled with elegantly designed interiors.
There are four categories of cabins –& Only in Deluxe Cabins & Junior Suites ,Guests have option to book Cabin with Either Single Large Bed Or Two Separate Beds. However Both Suits & Presidential Suite only offer Single Large Bed. All the cabins offer private attached bathrooms & Cabins are bedecked with grand paintings, plush tapestry, wall-to-wall carpeting, upholstery, Maharaja-style beds, linen, subtle lighting and antiques.

The main differentiator between the cabins is the amount of space available and additional amenities, in the higher categories. The Presidential Suite, for example, consists of a dining room, two bedrooms, a separate living area, and a modern private bathroom with a bath tub. Yes, it takes up an entire carriage. And all the suites have large panoramic windows, so that you can savour every bit of magnificent India on your train journey.
Each train coach has it’s own unique identity, based on Indian precious gems. Also, each coach has been appointed with a courteous and dedicated butler, who will be present at your service 24x7.
Deluxe Cabin
The train coaches of Deluxe Cabin are named after the precious gems Hakik(Agate), Firoza(Torquoise), Katela(Amethyst), Beruz(Aquamarine) & Pitoniya (Bloodstone) and are designed thus. Even though, this is the starting category, it is equipped to offer you a comfortable journey with an area measuring 112 sq. feet. The train has 20 Deluxe Cabins of which 12 are twin bedded and 8 double bedded.

Junior Suite
There are 18 Junior Suites (12 Cabins with Two Separate Beds & 6 Cabins with Single large bed) .The Size of Junior Suites is appx 25% more spacious than Deluxe Cabins The train coaches of Junior suites are named after the precious gems Moti (Pearl), Panna (Emerald), Manik (Ruby), Gomed (Hessonite), Moonga (Coral) & Pukhraj (Sapphire).

Suite
The rail coaches of Suites are named after the precious gems Heera (Diamond) & Neelam (Blue Sapphire) to represent their opulence. The length of the room almost doubles in the size compared to a Junior Suite. In total, 4 Suites are available on the train.
This cabin type is highly recommend by us.

Presidential Suite
You will struggle to find anything similar to this cabin, in the world. Occupying the space of an entire carriage, the Presidential Suite cabin has a living cum dining room, 2 bedrooms and washrooms equipped with bathtubs. With interconnected cabins, the suite can accommodate up to 4 guests. It is aptly named Navratana (nine precious gems)
